Actually, depending on the header, you can gain low-end torque. I bought the T1R Response header, and it improves the low-end. Same with the Weapon-R header.

The T1R Power header, on the other hand, improves mostly the high-end torque, and so does the Megan header.

So there is a T1R Response header and a T1R Power Header?

Hey guys new here I drive an 08 VBP Fit Base 5MT. I am looking to to some minor modifications to it and the T1R header is on the list of headers I was looking at. I was just wondering if it has thrown a CEL for anyone? I need to keep it off to pass emissions tests.

The T1R header has a bung for the factory O2 sensor. I installed mine and no light.

HOWEVER: Depending on the inspector, and the regulations in your area, you may not pass the "visual" portion of the inspection. The inspector may decide you don't pass because you modified something between the engine and the catalytic converter. You can reduce the risk of this by somehow attaching the factory heat shield to the new header to cover it. One guy took it to a muffler shop and had them weld some threaded rods to it and bolted the heat shield on that way.

Thanks that helps alot! As far as hiding the header under a heat shield I'm pretty sure in NY as long as the stock catalytic converter is still in tact then it will pass, it just cant throw a CEL.
