Exclamation Supa Sucka Intake vs T1R Carbon SRI

Anyone have an opinion on which of these intakes would be better? I drive a lot in the city and I try to stay at low rpm's to save gas. I have a 2008 Sport A/T. Just wanted to know what everyone thought before I handed out that kind of money.

I love my T1R. But I think with either one your gas mileage will take a hit if your driving that much in the city. The T1R has a gutsy throaty sound.

When I was running the t1r intake, I also got better mpg.

even though the super sucka is ugly i think i would rock that one.

i mean, they put alot of experimenting with it, it has to do something. and for the price you save what? 150-200 bucks from the t1r.

you could buy something else with that money.

i might sell my fujita cold air for the super sucka.

The T1R is $100 more. You might check out advanced Flow engineering (aFe) Air Filters & Intake Systems
also. They don't have their Fit application up on the site but I came across it earlier today from somebody else's post. This thing has got it right. Directs cooler air right into the filter while keeping hotter engine air away from the filter. If I were buying a system today, I would order one of these up.

I would think they would all be right about the same HP, EXCEPT when things get hot under the hood. The AFE wouldn't drop off like the others because it is keeping most of the hot air away from the air intake.

I'm curious too... AJ-Racing.com has it posted higher then I imagine an intake adding to the L15, but is it BHP or WHP and is that the right number?>

It looks and sounds like no other.

It says 10hp at the wheels:
A unique designed intake chamber built with a "VENTURI" effect which improves the efficiency of airflow to he engine. The chamber also restores air while having the throttle OFF. When the throttle is ON, a surge of fresh air is directed into the engine giving it a direct throttle response. As a result, power is gained throughout the complete powerband. CFRP/FRP material was chosen to ensure it's durability , performance and appearance.
Highly recommended the combination with the T1R 50S exhaust. A total of 10whp will be achieved.

As stated in the "official intake tread", it adds 5hp / 5lb torque.
I find it a little too loud... I can't hear my TR1 50S, except at start-up!

What about when the filters get dirty? I understand the the Supa Sucka uses a K&N, but what do you do for the T1R?

Thanks,

Josh
