Shift throws are noticeably shorter and it has a very solid high quality feel when moving from one gear to the next. One little thing that people might be bothered by is the altered position of the whole shifter itself. The shifter leans a bit more forward than stock, but I have long arms so i don't find it to be a problem.

Ben told me that the throws on this were even shorter than the Mugen short shifter! I never tried the Mugen one so I wouldn't know... But i'm loving every minute with my T1R short shifter

How much more foward does the shifter lean in comparison to stock? Is it enough to really notice? Also, does it require more force when rowing through the gears?

On my old B15 SE-R Spec-V the short shifter I tried on there moved the neutral positon foward an inch or so. So every time I shift in 1st, 3rd, and 5th, my hand will hit anything larger than a 12 ounce can of soda in the cup holder. That and the force required to shift was enough to bruise my palm after a couple weeks of use.
