battery relocation?

Ok guys, I know a few of you have done this due to a number of reasons. the fit has a bad balance from the beginning, it's head heavy body light. also it's cramped engine compartment makes it difficult for many modifications..

if you have done the relocation plz chime in.
here are pictures of 2 k20a Fits i found on the internet
they both have the battery relocated to the trunk area.
enjoy

Well I can't say the "S" word but if you peruse the forums you will come across additional posts covering this subject.

Why not in your seemingly great wisdom direct him to said posts, or just don't say anything at all.

You can re-locate the battery to wherever you want. Depends where you want to lose space. If sing a wet cell battery you need a sealed battery box and you must vent the box to outside the car. an AGM battery (like an optima, kinetik etc.) doesn't need to be vented outside the car. If you don't use your folding seats, putting the battery under the 40 split section would work well. You'll need to use at last 4 guage wiring for this. Real 4 guage wire, not the bidget 4 guage amp kits that are actually 6 guage with thicker insulation layer. 2 guage is always reccomended.

Because I don't want him to miss the wonderful LEARNING experience it would be if he did the perusing himself. Just like you didn't direct him.

And why didn't you merge this additional thread with the others while you were asking then they would be altogether in one place?

I don't moderate this section. Also starting a fresh thread on an old topic keeps the place fresh. If all anyone did was point to old threads we'd have no new posts other than useless crap comments telling people to search.

You could post a link to this thread in the moderator forum requesting another mod merge it for you.

Gee I didn't see any "Useless crap comments telling someone to search" in this thread did you? Edit: just found one for you to mod
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...l-us-cars.html post number 9.

If you allow "New threads covering old topics" to propagate any information in the "useless old threads" (as you say) is lost and not "fresh" and what you end up doing is RE-COVERING subjects covered SEVERAL TIMES. These "useless old posts" could answer the mans questions with a simple re-direct.

Why don't you make a suggestion to the admins that you think keeping all the old posts around is stale and they are unnecessary so don't bother keeping them just start "Fresh" every day with new posts on the same subjects all over again?

But this is all moot anyway because the op is banned.
