Anyone install one of those silencer attachments onto their muffler?

About how much quieter did it make it?

I have female friends that are somewhat put off by the combined sound of the H-Fit intake, J's Racing Header and J's Racing Cat-Back on my car and the only reason I put up with it is because of their "OEM D cup sized Airbags"

Plus I like the idea of being able to take off the silencer when it's just me riding in the car.

I have the silencer and it works wonders, only thing is that it sounds like a bunch of air rushing past a tin can. If you get it you will know what I mean. Also check your muffler for a hole to install the silencer as that is necessary for the placement of the silencer.

The silencer made the car sound stock while cruising on the freeway, but when you are accelerating on the street it sounds kinda like one of those beaters with a rusty muffler. LOL

Anyways it does its job so I'm not complaining.

Cool thanks for the reply. Got any pics that you could post of the silencer installed?

I spoke to Ben at AJ Racing last night and I'll have to drill a hole in my muffler tip as the J's Racing mufler doesn't come "pre-drilled". Not a big deal.

Hey, as long as it brings the noise level inside the cabin down a bit my passengers will be happier.

I have Invidia on my Fit and my S2000. Each came with a silencer, which brings the car to near stock levels, just a little deeper and still much betters sounding.

As for the look, I thought the silencers looked terrible on the S2000 (dual exhaust, and the tips extend beyond the bumper). I painted them with a flat-black high temperature paint, and now when they are in place you can hardly notice them. I never painted the Fit silencer because (i) we don't use it much and (ii) the muffler and tip are tucked under the bumper and not as visible...

My Greddy Ti-C sounds nearly stock with the silencer in, but it came with predrilled holes so it was easy to install. I only had it in when I went on a long road trip to Oregon with the wife.

J's racing silencer

Just so you guys know I had both the Greddy Ti-C muffler and now currently have the J's Racing. The Greddy sounded perfectly fine with the silencer in it, but the J's racing on the other hand with the B-pipe sounds exactly as I described it. Trust me the J's racing with the silencer does not sound anything like the Ti-C with the silencer.

Hey is there some sort of trick to getting the silencer into the muffler tip?

It doesn't want to fit in there and I'm reluctant to break out a big hammer on it.
