ECU/ Dyno tune
I live in San Bernardino CA. Im looking for a place to run a tune on my 08 base FIT. Anyone know of any? Also what about power programmers or ECU chip mods, i cant seem to find any... any help that would be awesome!!!

From what I have read on these forums there's no use for ECU chip mods due to the great factory tuning of the FIT already. Hondata did some tests and didn't even bother making a reflash because it wouldn't had made sense to.

I went with the apexi axleback WS2 exhaust... it is very quiet and still lets you hear the intake at high RPMs. I can definitely feel the torque gain at low RPMs. Other then that you could always do the group buy Weapon-R Street header from customerservice@weapon-r.com or possibly my next mod: Mugen Short Shifter from Ben at AJ-Racing.com
What are you looking to do with your car?

^^I have the same axleback! I love the style and noise. At low rpm's it has a little more rumble, but still sound's 90% stock. It's only at higher rpm's that it start's to singer. There's also no droning.By the way,if any Floridan's around Tampa/Clearwater area are interested,I will be giving away my Greddy Ti axleback for FREE in about 2 week's or so.There's only about 3000 mile's on it.I will be giving alot more stuff away FREE also,so keep a eye out for my post.ONLY TO FITFREAK's THAT NEED THE PART's,NO ONE LOOKING TO JUST SELL THEM THEMSELVE's.

When I got the Apex-i muffler,I decided to just give away the Greddy.I will also give away a Tanabe Body-Brace/a few set's of Headlight bulb's and Fog's/Depo Taillight's(a few scratches on the inside black piece you can't see unless your trunk's open/or use touch-up paint)for free. Also have spare STOCK Honda H's(back)/Stock grill/carbon fiber(auto)knob/JDM Fit emblem(only 1/red dot) and a few other thing's if any FLORIDAN's are willing to come to Clearwater to pick-up.If you PM me,I really don't know if I reply right(I'm not good with computer's)so leave a phone number(area code also).Last,I'm not going to give all away if you don't need,or you have a part like it already installed.Just for someone who REALLY need's it.

maybe he came from a WRX where you have to buy a new ECU and tune every time you change the oil!(exaggeration, but in wrx's you DO have to get a new ECU and have it tuned just if you get an intake. after the new ECU all you have to do is tune when you get new parts, though. But it's literally every new engine mod.)

No my first car was an 02 Corolla, but me and my dad hand built a 01 GT mustang from the ground up with everything, so we had to have to tuned alot. I was just wondering if there was any reflashes out there, cause in other cars it makes a big difference. I thought maybe to raise fuel and air ratios and bypass computer smog limits, just to gain a little more hp.

I think there is a lot "could" be done with ecu tuning on the fit...in theory that is.
I think the L15 is really a quite capable engine, but the problem is that we can't really tune it at this moment. If there s a way that we can "tune" the DBW system, I'm sure we'll see more hp with current available bolt ons. The fuel map is an issue too, but it seems that with piggie backs, we can some what tune it, but piggie backs are designed more to cut fuel instead of adding, with simple bolt ons we seem to running lean already.....
all in all, I think there is more hps to be had if we can better tune this motor, but there just doesn't seem to be much tools available on the market. Maybe with the releases of FI systems, we will see more goodies.
