Hfp Cat Back?

Hfp Cat Back?
i was wondering if there is anyway to make the HFP honda sport muffler a cat back system? like can i keep the hfp muffler and have the pipe between the cat and the muffler replaced, i would just go down to the muffler shop and have them just cut out the resonator but i want to make it so i can switch out the old pipe incase i take it down to the shop to get it maintenanced. has anyone done this yet? or know an inexpensive way to do this? i dont want to change the pipe size or make it super loud, i just want my hfp muffler to sound a little more mean

You could buy a bolt on B-pipe from any vendor on this forum. T1R, Spoon, Megan, Aspec, all of those will bolt on and add some grunt.
The tone wont be excessively loud due to the size of the HFP muffler but youll notice it.
Id suggest a bolt on B-pipe. Unless you spend the money to have an exhaust shop add flanges so you can still be able to bolt you OEM stuff back on.

If/when you should choose to do this... you would make this particular user happy if you could post a sound clip
Did you initially have the HFP or did you switch the standard stockie one out. And If the latter was the case did you like the change in sound and or feeling.
Sorry if its slightly off topic

I have an HFP and also want to add a mid-pipe. The Megan is a 57mm and I saw one on HopUp for $229 w/shipping. If you take the plunge let us know how the sound changes. I like my HFP like it is now.

Feel - not so much.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I'm thinking that a street header, megan b-pipe and HFP exhaust would combine to make the quietest performance exhaust. Would anything be quieter? I don't want a loud exhaust.
