k23 in a Fit?

Has anyone thought about dropping the k23 into the fit? The RDX has 240 hp and 260 lbf torque...it would be awesome to see this happen if anyone had the resources (money) to do this

apparently, the k24 isn't all that much bigger than a regular k20....and thats been done.

but how you are going to stuff a k23 with a turbo already on it is beyond me. its too new to even be purchased seperately!

besides, can you imagine the torque steer? major suspension mods would need to be made. if you wanted boost, you'd be better off boosting the l15.

it would be doable if the manifold wasn't cast into the head, the block is also set up so you can really only use the automatic tranny thats mated to it. I'm assuming that the idea behind this wouldn't be to keep it fuel efficient, but just to throw it out there RDX's get shitty mileage even when your easy on them

Even if it was a doable swap the cost would not justify the power. Ur talking about a serious suspension upgrade to support the weight of the engine and most of all a serious braking system!
I would imagine it would all be an EXPENSIVE engine to purchase as well. We won't even get into the ECU, axles, shift linkage, custom mounts, etc. A K20 swap would be a better route. And should provide more then enough power.

It comes out of the Acura MDX Turbo 2.3L. It's like 230 something with 260 torque, who ever said HONDA'S had no torque?

k20 share the same dimensions as the k24, only the deck is 1" taller than the k20

I'd like to see someone do this swap, and incorporate the JDM 4WD setup out of a JDM Fit

A friend of mine is a Acura Tech, he was also looking into this for his Eg. Once he got an RDX up on the rack he doesnt see how its done. Apparently the mounts are NOTHING like K20's and K24's.

He didnt go into detail but he said everything looks different. Im sure it has to do with the trans, transfercase, and AWD system.

it would be a lot of custom work and you would would make more power and spend less money building up a K24 for boost with L/C pistons and forged internals.

Smile K23

IMAO....a total waste of money and effort. Plus there is NO way I would want a AUTO......FYI.....if you cannot afford a K20/24 swap....this would be ALOT more $$$. To much custom work to be done....this is my 5 cent.

The idea behind this swap isn't for the power, or the cost, its for the originality, then as a bonus you'll be making more power and torque, but with the stock reliability
