Intake: AEM vs. top fuel vs. k&n vs. etc...

Which one to get? Imma open up my business account with some import businesses again to fix up my honda fit, I was thinking either aem or top fuel, however, I didn't hear any good things on top fuel within the forum postings. I know my bro put a k&n filter (stock style) in the stock air filter box and you can notice the power drastically...

Any recommendations would be appreciated...

Nacho

how about the injen CAI that will fit both the AT and MT. That's supposedly the most gained hp for both applications, like 5 and 7 hp respectfully. I'll buy one off u if u do get em. =]

+1

As the Injen Cold Air Intake is what I'll be purchasing when the time comes. Not only is it the only Cold Air Intake that'll work with the AT transmissions, and proves to be the leading performance upgrade interms of an intake, but it's drop dead sexy in the black powder coat finish.

If it's Injen.... depending on price, count me in for one.

Don't even consider the K&N SRI. Read the thread "WARNING! Do Not Buy K&N Typhoon SRI" ,and the follow-up thread. Any other intake system is better than this one- the other manufacturers do not have to lie in order to sell their products. K&N does have to.

I looked at the picture on the Injen website and it looks like you would have to take the front bumper off everytime you needed to clean/change the air filter. Is there an eaiser way to do it? I am thinking about buying one of these, but looks like it will void the warranty. Damn, maybe I can get the dealers "permission" to do this.

Member Bap has the Injen CAI, and I don't think that he has to remove the bumper to clean or replace the filter ( I asked him when I saw his car at a meet), but to be sure, send him a p.m. and ask- he'll be glad to tell you.

Your alias is a famous South American vampire- just bite the dealer in the neck if he gives you crap.

I would assume it would be easier to go through the wheel well liner then completely removing the entire front bumper.

I have an Injen on my AT Fit and yes you have to remove the bumper to clean the fiter. It's not that big of a deal once you figure it out. Just two screws and some clips. Takes less than 5 minutes.

AEM is good. Well, we just ordered an aem air intake three weeks ago and we're also considering k&n. But answering the question on which is better, aem seems to be much better especially when you get high rpm's.
