Check out K20a.org they have a lot of info on the K series to help you out. IMO it is a lot of work for not so much power the magazine that did the swap i believed used this engine but if i were to go through all of the hasle i would want the full hp, but if you continue to go through good luck and have fun any gain is better than none

I think the EP3 has a K20A3...correct me if I'm wrong. I used to spend alot of time on ep3hatch.com. The only real way to get power out of that motor is to use forced induction or a head swap. From what I hear the K24 bolts in nicely and is a huge improvement.

Definitely visit ep3hatch.com and talk with them. There are some really good guys there that I'm sure could help.

i second what was said above, the ep3 k20 is not the type s motor, its the 160 hp version (or 155 depending on what car its in.) But that still is a lot of motor for a fit.

Let's say it's 155bhp.

Keep this in mind
8thgen Si --> 197bhp, 2886lbs = 14.64lbs/bhp
stock Fit(sport MT) --> 109bhp, 2471lbs = 22.66lbs/bhp
swapped ep3 K20 Fit (+200lbs) --> 155hp, 2671lbs = 17.23lbs/bhp
swapped K20/24 Fit (+200lbs) --> ~200hp, 2671lbs = 13.35lbs/hp

Plan your mods right and you can potentially get a better weight-to-hp ratio than the current generation Si. If anyone else has input, that'd be great.

the K20A3 from the EP3 is a good motor. They are making more and more performance parts for it that make it a great swap on a budget. Skunk2 makes camshafts that add a good amount of power. you can get pretty close to if not over 200 whp with cams and bolt-ons and K-Pro. or else you can go with an A3 bottom end and a A2 cylinder head. The A3 block does not have the oil squirter nozzles (but can be tapped if so desired). but many race teams that use the K20 motor plug the oil squirters since they tend to effect oil pressure.
so in short, if you can get an K20A3 for free or cheap, it's totally worth it.
