Hands down best intake

Hey guys I currently have an Injen cai and was wondering what intakes have the best gains. I am thinking about going to the T1r intake or should I just stay with what I have?

I doubt you would feel anything with +3HP and +4lb of torque...

It's hard to feel such little improvements but it all adds up. The dyno doesn't lie.

The T1R Carbon Intake has the most gains I've found so far through my researching.

PM FROM AJ PwR Jr:

"You will be expecting about +6whp and about 9-10 ft/lbs of torque. Here's the link for the dyno https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/aj-ra...d-revised.html"

I think that quote makes it seem like JUST the intake gave those gains...but if you follow that thread a bit more, it turns out he has other mods included in that gain as well.

Fit base HP, stock: 91.4. After cold air intake, underdrive pulley and exhaust: 100.9 - not too bad.

Smile Cai

Question...are there any CAI's that are made out of ABS Plastic. Reason being on my 1.8T I used a metal type intake from a very good company and it got really hot , next I switched over to the ABS Plastic CAI from Evolution Motorsports and let me tell you.....NEVER GOT HOT.
After a long drive on a hot day try putting your hand on your metal intake ...ouch. I have the Aspec CAI....and man does it get hot. Sometimes you can't even touch it! Looking to get rid of it....if I can find one made out of ABS Plastic. I would not recommend Aspec CAI....gets way too hot! Thanks for your help.

I'd say the J's Tsuchinoko Intake will give you the most gains...its like a CAI and Powerbox all in one...but also the price for both of them combined

Considering the Fit only has 90 something wheel HP a 5-6% difference is fairly signifigant. I have the Fujita CAI as well, the Fit pulls noticably more in the upper RPM's.

According to the dyno sheets from Injen's website, you can expect gains of 7.3+ hp and 7.9 tq so it sounds like you got the best one out there.

I just dont think the Injen is cutting it for me. Hopefully someone at the upcoming fit meet will have one so I can compare.

No matter what kind of intake you get, you're not going to feel noticeable gains, especially in a 109 hp engine. Most bolt on's don't create a significant amount of extra power. The biggest difference you'll notice by having a CAI is going to be the noise. I suggest you stick with what you got or invest in something else, like a K20 motor swap.

K20 swap is cool but I think it defeats the purpose getting the fit. I wanna see how quick I can my 1.5 liters to go. A K20 swap would defientley be cool but just not for me anytime soon. Im just debationg about getting the t1r because its a short ram with good gains and will hopefuly increase response.

According to A&J Racing, you get 10 extra hp at the wheel with the T1R as opposed to 7.9 extra hp with the Injen. I dont know if it's worth $400 for 2.1 extra hp than you already have. Besides, with a short ram, you're more prone to heat soak because the intake is so close to the engine bay, its pulling in hotter air. With the CAI, your filter takes in the cooler air from the wheel well area. Just my opinion though.

P.S. I was joking about the K20 swap. Thats a project for someone with too much time, too much money and no brain. I mean, why spend all the time and money to put a 197 hp engine in a Honda Fit when it would probably be cheaper to just go and buy an Si.
