it is a great intake no doubt zer0. i am still patiently waiting on word of the axle or cat back exhaust they are supposedly working on. great company to deal with and based on the amount of work that went into the design of this intake would love to see what they have in store as far as the exhaust goes. hope its soon though, itching to buy something lol

Hey All,
Thanks for the interest in our intake. We will be releasing Our Design philosophy and goals for the intake on our website soon.
Through the design and manufacture of our intake
we made over 12 dyno runs, with 3 prototype versions of the chamber and 5 different filter configurations.
Additionally, the intake versions were track tested for driveability and power application during numerous runs at recent Gymkhana USA events. We even placed 2nd only to be beat by a Lotus Elise.(Congrats to Johnny!)
We noticed that many other manufacturers appeared just too focused on peak hp output. This usually occurs at a very high RPM range. Most people don't drive their cars in those rpm's therefore the high HP numbers are never utilized.
We wanted to bring to the FIT community an intake that was tuned for driveability and overall performance in the RPM ranges that most owners realistically drive in.
We at H-Fit feel that we have created an intake that the Fit community will be impressed with.
Thanks,
From the H-FIT team!

Thanks to all!
Just wanted to thank all of those that went before me, I just ordered my SSI, can't wait to get it, especially after all the GREAT reviews and comparisons. I almost made some costly mistakes. Once again I.O. all the Fit Freaks.

Hi All,
We are currently looking into the fitment for non USDM FIT /JAZZ for our SSI. We have been able to look over some engine bay pictures from interested individuals from Malaysia and Philippines and there does not appear to be any fitment issues we can see. But, we are not currently comfortable with saying "YES it will fit" until we complete further research.
A heat shield between the chamber and filter will promote a cooler intake charge.
We had a few shapes made of ABS and aluminum that sealed up against the hood as a barrier between the filter and chamber. But, as some of the local SoCal Fit owners have heard, we were planning on making a special type of heat shield that would incorporate an actual intake port to feed outside air to the filter of the SSI, so we decided to leave the basic heat shield out on the production units.
Thanks again!

yeah, my mpg is still the same... 25 straight town; 27 mixed steady speed; 38 to 40 on long trips... but have not tested this yet... HOWEVER when I go above 4000 I hear a sound like a buzzzzzzz; it could be since the intake is plastic?? Has a good sound

i want to get this..but what about when you have to clean or change the filter? i know you can replace it, but will any other filter make this intake work like it should?
just curious and out of knowledge

Its a standard K&N 3inch filter I believe. If you somehow need to replace it instead of cleaning the part number is RU-3700, you could also replace it with a different brand if its the same size.
Also, I've started to keep the RPMs lower like I used to before the SSI, my average has jumped back up to around 37MPG, with lower averages when I drive it hard.

Can you change the filter style that you are currently using or can the customer request the K&N x-tream cap style filter? looks like you can get a little more straight flow from that filter style. just a idea
i will be buying your intake. to many people have made my mind for me. also can we buy from your local adress there in cali?
