Intake testing. Anyone interested?
Alright, so I want to buy an intake, but Im not going to buy one unless I know it makes power. Im also an engineering student, so I kinda have to be picky about things.
My mission: To figure out which intake gives you the most power.
My proposal: We buy all the popular intakes and rent a dyno for a day. Then we test all the intakes that same day. By the end of all the day, we should know which intake gives you the most power.
How it works: Here is the tricky part. In order to get all this data, we are going to need money, and I cant afford it. So, what we do is we gather a list of all the intakes we want to test, and add up their prices. Then we add the price of the dyno to that. Then, the grand total will be divided between a group of people who want that information. So, if the total is $3000 and we have 30 people, the total would be $100/ person, initially. This would get you the dyno plots of all the intakes tested. Then, after testing is over, we would sell the intakes and distribute that money between everyone who paid for them initially. So this information may end up costing way less than $100/person.
What do you guys think?
