from their site
Chamber increases Air Flow speed to the motor. Increases more horsepower and quicker response.
besides the fact that they need to reword their description ("increases more horspower" LOL) any one here had experience or can explain how this "poer chamber" operates? visually, it has the looks but would be kinda expencive engine dressup item...

This intake looks nice, but if the photo is of the actual kit, the filter will be positioned directly behind the radiator, drawing hot air. Price is very competitive with other short ram systems, but I think the best location for the filter is as close to the cold air port in the driver's fender as possible. I clicked on the Badass link, and clicked on the link for the Fit model- found exactly the same photo as for the S2000.

Here's a shot from Minkara. Reviews are generally positive and the owners seem to like it. I have heard from a friend that it actually showed some power loss on one vehicle they saw, but that was a while back and may have been an earlier version, or on the 1.3L DSi not the 1.5L, he didn't specify. The one review I skimmed through said that compared to the stock airbox, this made the engine rev more freely and smoothly in the mid-high end once the VTEC kicked in, and made it easier to maintain speed comfortably than with the stock airbox. He also said that it's got a hell of an intake growl, which was fun in it's own right. This was on a 1.5L JDM S model.

Yeah, personally I think just a standard SRI like Fujita, etc. would be a better purchase than this. Aside from the sharp angles, the chamber on it isn't even remotely as large as a Power Box or T1R, so I can't see it being as effective as either of those for throttle response, etc. Take that benefit away and you're left with something like a standard SRI, and there are much better designed SRI's you could purchase I would say.

The way this intake was being made, inside of the chamber got too many sharp edges and that creates a lot of turbulance which will cause to lose power. If they can make it in rounder shape then it should perform better.

But their claim that the "spiral filter" causes the incoming air to spin is absolute b.s.
