What's with the Megan Downpipe? Is it a highflow cat or just a test pipe with a resonator on it?

edit** nevermind it's a test pipe with resonator..

Chris, I am considering buying the megan downpipe and cutting out the resonator and welding in a high flow cat, either that or doing the same to the stock pipe, to make do until someone releases a 4-2-1 header/ high flow cat combo pipe. I was wondering if you could give me the dimensions of that megan downpipe resonator from pipe weld to pipe weld? Thank you.

Chris, do you have to run a CEL eliminator with the Megan downpipe?

Yes, 02 simulator.

Why don't you wait for a high flow cat instead of spending $150+ for a shiney little pipe and end up cutting it up?

If your'e gonna weld on a highflow cat, why not just get the exhuast shop to make you the downpipe with the cat?

Ideally I want a 4-2-1 w/high flow cat, nobody makes one. I am able to weld myself but not bend pipe, so I am trying to make something with existing parts. I was hoping that weapon-r would release thier header since there is plenty of room to weld in a cat on that design or cut out a section of the Jackson racing header to make room for one, But they are not offering a stainless version yet. I am getting frustrated with my lack of options so I just started throwing around the idea of using the Megan downpipe/ Megan ,(maybe DC), header for the time being. Maybe not even welding in a highflow, and just hoping that someone comes out with the product I want before I have to pass emissions testing again, while still having the option to do so if nobody comes out with the product I want. I am definately open to suggestions though if anyone has any other ideas. Right now I'm running an AEM cai and Skunk2 60mm cat back,( I would like to keep all my piping about that size), w/ plans to use the JR supercharger as soon as my warranty runs out.
