I am seriously considering this intake because of the price. Anyone on the forum that actually has pics of this intake installed? How were the gains?

from my experiance... HKS makes the worst filters, they flow like ass and they pass alot of dirt into the intake... they don't filter great. someone on the supra forums did a test with alot of filters and the HKS was the worst. and for that low price on that HKS super mega flow, you get what you pay for.

this is why HKS sucks at filtering...

the test for power of many different filters on a supra..

HKS filtered the worst and made the least amount of power.

HKS isn't that bad, IMHO.

My experience is a little different. I've run an HKS Power Flow on my 1989 d16a6 motor for a little over 275,000 miles now (motor is currently at 340,000). I've tried different intake filters and got the same trap speeds if not lower. The motor still gets nearly 40mpg, has no signs of burning any oil between changes, and stills pulls a decent low 15 sec quarter mile (best was a 14.82, and this was at 225,000 miles). I clean the original two layer filter out when it is time for an air filter service, and just dry before re-installing.
So do you really think that if I ran a different filter for these past 15 years, my motor would make it tthis far without a rebuild? Who knows, all I know is that HKS is not as bad as you think.

Thanks for your input- I appreciate your opinion, as well as the supra owner's.
