either way you still get the crappy filter.

LOL - Ive been in this game too long- I've had my HKS intake since 1991, probably when you were just a twinkle in your Mom's eye. The HKS filters from back then were cleanable/reusable two piece filters.

Sorry, I just have to stand behind their product because 340k on a motor should say something.

azkikersfit - can you please explain more about the pix under "my jedi knight"? I'd like to see how it looks installed.

Thanks in advance...

great, you have something thats old and discontinued, i have no doubt you have a great filter and all, but from my experiance, foam filters are not as great as cotton or even metal filters. 1991 lol i was 10 years old.
like i said, just look at the results that i posted, they speak for themselves.

Well heres my take on it. I have a 1993 300zx twin turbo and well i bought the hks megaflow intake system. I felt a great gain from stock, and while i got good gains, if i need to get a new filter i could just replace it easy and a knife through butter...personally i know that hks is one of the best performance brands out. And did you ever think that oh maybe letting in too much air is a good thing?

if you pay over $100 for that intkae, you're a goddamn idiot. just because it's got HKS on it...and a shitty filter doesn't make it gold.

buy 2 aluminum j-bends...and you've got that intake for $40, then add on a nice aem dry filter for another $40, $20 for some couplers and clamps...bam, under $100 shipped...for an even BETTER performing intake.

wanna bet. I have a friend that bought a AEM v2 power cold air intake for his 06 rsx type s and well we ran it for a while with the aem filter, but when the filter was dirty, we changed it out with a universal fitting HKS filter and performance and response was a hell of a lot better with the hks filter than there was with the AEM filter.
