And how did you get your engine cover in "matched" colour. That really is awesome

Marokero,

what size diameter hose did you get to do the bypass? About your scanguage...when you press the scan button does it say "not ready" or "ready"?

I couldn't find a perfect size, mine were a bit larger. I used 7/16" x 2 ft. The length was perfect, the tube diameter was a good 1-2mm wider than necessary. The stores around town were poorly stocked with hose types and sizes. I actually wanted a blue hose to match the one included with the intake, but couldn't find any.

As for the ScanGauge, it says the following:

No Codes Found
---Not Ready---

I assume it means there are no codes to read at this time (nothing wrong), so the codes aren't ready

actually the not ready means that the scanguage has not completed all necessary diagnostic tests needed to pass emissions. I spent a good half hour on the phone yesterday with the rep. He said that it should say"ready" after 3 days or so. But their could be a test that has not completed (for example the a/c compressor test he stated) that will cause it to say "not ready". The vehicle will not pass if your state uses the new method of inspection using the ODB scan tool unless it says "ready".

There is a way to find out which test is causing this to happen by sending the scanguage ODB commands manually. i am gonna try it next week. The FAQ's on their website go over this.

P.S. any time you disconnect the battery it will cause this to happen and the computer will need to recycle and do its tests again.

That's strange, I seem to recall my ScanGage has been displaying that same message ever since I got it in August...

You don't have to pull back the fender to install it, just put your hand behind the fender to hold the screw and tight the bolt up!!!

yeah i thought so too! check the FAQ's on their website. on the bottom is a link that talks about it. You send a hex code to the unit and it tells you which test has not been completed.

Yes, my buddy leonine helped me for this. but the paint little peel off after the intake install.

After almsot a week of driving, I can say the Setup are awsome. I few more easy to get on highway, and after the turn. Sound like a jet when over 4000rpm, when using "S" mode it came up better performance than "D". The MPG a little lower then normal (Well, perforamce kill MPG that's for sure)

GREAT sounding exhaust and intake - 100% aggressive. I was actually very surprised hearing it in person.

Got mine today!

Installed it at work. took 20 minutes. Here's what i am impressesd with and not impressed with.

Pros:
Awesome performance gains. After driving my car with just headers and exhaust and feeling the power i could tell it was lacking something. MORE AIR! Once i put the intake in and hit the gas i was very impressed! An amazing improvement. Now my car really screams Very smooth accelleration when driving normally. Car does not downshift as much going up hill. Also i noticed it does downshift more when going down hill and tapping the brake. Overall extremely happy with this mod.

Cons:
First, the intake was very dirty inside like it was not finished. I had to clean it out with some rags/sponge/paper towels to get as much of the fiberglass and dust off before i put it in. And let me tell you i got ALOT off! Anyone buying this should do the same or that crap is definately gonna get sucked into your throttle body. Second, it should have come with 2 CLAMPS. 1 to clamp the blue rubber seal to the intake and 1 to connect to the throttle body. The stock clip IS NOT TIGHT ENOUGH! It will cause the intake to sit too loose in the engine bay. Needless to say after spending ovr 300 for the intake i had to go to autozone and buy clamps. That is bullsh!t IMO. For that kind of dough i should get ALL necessary hardware!

Overall it is a bad ass intake and i am very pleased. would i buy it again...definately. But they should not skimp out like that for the price we are paying.

Tomorrow if it stops raining i will be bypassing the TB and installing my Mugen Strut tower bar. Got an appointment monday to get fitted for a B&M tranny cooler too!

Engine bay Complete!

Just took a few shots of my completed engine bay. I bypassed the throttle body this morning with a 5/16 hose. perfect fit! Was a pain in the ass because the radiator was full but i got a couple of 12oz. plastic dixie cups and put them underneath the hose to catch the fluid. Still lost about 6-8 oz. but i got most of it. Then after i let the engine run and the fluid recycled back into the engine, i shut it off and let it cool. then i popped the radiator cap and put the fluid back in. So far no problems with temp. but i am going to honda tomorrow and get some to top it off. Did notice the "bubbling sounds" that were mentioned but i will let it air out tomorrow and top it off. hpefully then it will clear out. Much cleaner now that the big metal piece is gone.

Wow, I have got to get one of those intakes. That looks incredible and seems to really have some nice preformance gains. Thanks for the pics Guys!
