Thumbs down HELP. 07 MT Clutch/Tranny noises I can't diagnose

Okay, so when I'm stopped, in my 07 sport MT, and im not in any gear, and let the clutch out, it makes a weird grinding noise. When i take off, in every gear, it makes the same grinding noise. its a quick, in sequence, dadadadadadadada noise. sounds like metal to me. And when i down shift, clutch in, and when i place it in the gear, before i let the clutch out, it makes a loud whirring noise. Ive done tranny fluid, throw out bearing, clutch pressure plate (clutch itself is only 30K old) and input shaft bearing. I just dumped 800$ into this thing and IT STILL MAKES THE DAMN NOISE. My mechanic said it sounds like a bearing in the tranny, but says "idk what one, dont worry about it" so he isnt the sharpest it seems. help me before i burn the darn thing.

It DOES sound like a tranny bearing from your description. (BTDT on an 81 Civic)

It needs to be taken apart to diagnose which one, for sure. If the shop that does it is experienced with Hondas, they should know the most likely suspects. (If there is more than one, it's better to replace all suspect bearings due to the labor charges)

If it's just an annoying noise, your choices are to: 1.turn up the radio; 2. get it fixed, because if the bearing actually falls apart, it could take out other things with it;
3. see if you can get a used trans from a wrecked car or JDM fit.

Was the input shaft bearing just loose or was it a fail, because if it was a fallen fail it dumped very hard steel shrapnel through your transmission and likely it got eaten by the cluster bearings..

I'd shop for used, I've seen engine + tranny for my 07 for < 600 bucks.
