Help with the Battery Wires!

Help with the Battery Wires!
Can someone clarify how to disconnect the negative on the battery? I've read that there are two negative wires, and I'm not sure exactly what I should be touching.
There are two coming out of the red box, and one attached to the other end of the battery which I'm assuming is the negative.
