Question Cleaning Fit black cloth interior

My wife or I got what appears to be yellow highlighter marks on the back of the black cloth seat cushions. Can anyone recommend what would remove the highlighter ink and not damage the cloth interior?

We have a 2010 Honda Fit Sport.

Many thanks!

No idea. Time to get a set of Clazzio covers.

Hmm...

My Wife or I?

Okay which one of you did it? Because one of you did. --It wasn't the dog.

The fact that YOU are in a Honda Fit forum looking for covert advice in removal, leads me to believe you subconciously feel guilty.

I think the new Clazzio's come out of your entertainment allowance.

Seriously? Off hand I know of no product that I could say would guarantee removal.

Careful experimentation is probably your friend here. I would start with the obvious and safe...and work my way up...

You might call some upholestery shops and see what they recommend.

IF you get it removed I would then 3M Scotchguard the whole car.

I would try hard to determine exactly what the marks are. Then I would Google to find stain removal advice, as the method varies according to what the stain is from. Lastly, I would try removal methods out first on a hidden area of the seat cover to see if they cause damage. Good luck!

PS, the quicker you act the better, as stains set and get harder to remove the longer they are there
