Engine light came on.help please!
Ok fitfreakers. I was driving the other night on the fwy when my engine light blinked and went away, today i was about to go to work when the engine light blinked again and stayed on this time. Im wondering whats wrong with it and how could i know the "problem code". My car have a lot of miles on it (110k). Pros, need help please.. Im getting close to changing my oil, the last time i did changed it i used mobil1 synthetic oil. Please help!!

When that light comes and goes it's an intermittent problem. When it comes back and stays on it's a current problem. Like solbrothers says, checking codes is the only way to know. Take it to who you plan on fixing it, they'll figure it out. If you're inclined to find out yourself, Auto Zone, PepBoys or similar will often check codes for free and tell you the problem.
I'll take a swag and say an O2 sensor... but that's a guess.
Post back.

Are you having any problems with the engine running?
I'll agree, no problem driving it till you get it serviced. The light is telling you something is wrong and you need to find out what it is.
Ignoring it and continuing to drive is what you don't want to do.
There's no way of knowing what the problem is until you have it checked out. Parts are most likely going to be needed, pulling the codes will tell you what parts. The shop you take it to will know what to do.
When the light comes on the cars computer stores a code number that identifies the problem.
The shop guy plugs a code reader into the computer and it displays the code number.
He then looks the number up and knows the problem.
There are quite a few codes, so it could be many things making that light come on.

No,i actually drove it back home when the light stayed on. I drove my dads car to my work and will be using it too to drive to work tomorrow and thursday morning. Do u guys have any idea how much an O2 sensor would cost?

If that's what it is, and we don't know if it is, but $200 could get you one. Then it needs to be installed.
The Fit has 2 sensors, front and rear - each priced the same.
Here's a source for yrs 09-12: CFL Honda Parts
Select the year of your car and look under Emission System/Emission Components.
The shop you go to can use this as a source for OEM or they might have another place for parts.
But don't start throwing parts at it till you know what's wrong.
