Angry Couple Issues New Owner ABS Cruise SRS Horn

So I recently got my hands on a 2007 fit sport edition, the ABS light stays on, the seatbelt airbag light flashes as I start the car and then comes back on and stay son. The cruise control buttons don't do anything, they click to flick the switch in the wheel but don't illuminate the cruise light or engage. The horn doesn't make any sound either, pressing the button or locking/unlocking the car.

The car is pretty heavily modded, I found 4 wires with crimps in the fuse panel on the driver's side, black, pink, yellow, and a red wire with female crimps. The yellow and red one are disconnected, pink is connected using a spade to jump into a harness that connects to the connectors to the left of the fuse box. I see the connections for the 2 loose ones near the bottom, one wire is white, I forget what the other one is but I'm not sure what these wires are for at all. I'll have to take pics tomorrow.

Where can I start checking things, I was thinking the cable reel might be bad. I pulled the air bag off and everything is connected just fine. I need some cruise control in my life

i'm going to venture something is up with the steering wheel. if they removed it and put an aftermarket one on, they would have to short it to turn off that light b/c the airbag sensor would detect. also, probably why there isn't a horn.

be careful with this. hopefully someone more into the car electronics can tell you what to look for or see.

also check this

that's a DIY to install a different steering wheel. methinks they f'bombed the reel b/c those sensors are probably why you have the lights.

good luck man.

someone more knowledgeable chime in here please and help 'em out!

It currently has the stock sport wheel, it wouldn't surprise me if the wheel had been removed since my interior isn't anywhere close to stock. Dash had to have come out and I know with previous cars, removing the steering wheel makes it easier if not easier just possible!

I almost went ahead and order a new cable reel but I figured I'd post and see if anyone had specific things I should check before starting to buy things. Everything else functions 100% on the car. Horn is connected and fuse in the engine bay is good.

Although I'm of no help to you with solving this problem...But, I have to ask, did you know about this when you purchased it and did you have an opportunity to ask the seller about these issues?

I bought it from someone that got it with everything done to it already, I'm going to look for pics of the driver's fuse box from other cars to compare. I'm pretty sure its the cable reel being bad or just not connected since I found those loose wires. The car came with an nardi wheel in a box for it, it wouldn't surprise me if they had it installed at one time but took it off since I didn't get a hub for the aftermarket steering wheel. Aside from that issue and my wheels being so far out I can't let all the air out the suspension, the car is great, slow but great.
