Cleaning the headliner

I had a soda explode all over the hatch and headliner. Whats the best way to clean it without damaging the headliner?

And actually my trick has been Mr. Clean magic erasers. If that doesn't work then hot shot cleaner and more magic eraser.

I used a foam carpet cleaner called tuff stuff. Had to use the whole can but it got most of it out. I just plan on redoing the headliner anyways so I just sprayed it right on the headliner and it didn't damage it. Use a microfiber cloth and some cool water.
