Question about keyless entry reprogramming
So my backpack was stolen with my car keys inside so I wanna know if there's any way I can make the keyless entry on the original useless and have it only work for the spare I luckily have.
I know my car is still in risk of being stolen by manually opening but it would help ease my mind off it knowing that the keyless entry on the original was disabled.
I know how to reprogram my spare keyless entry but would that delete or disable the keyless entry on the original if I do it this way?
Please and thank you!

At about 5:33 he mentions that you have to program any existing key at the same time as the new one so they match.
So, based on that, I would assume that the old key would be ignored if you do it with your remaining key.
I'd still look into replacing the cylinder also.

the cylinder is where you put the key (in the door and the steering column). I don't know if it uses tumblers like normal house keys or what. but whatever it is, it needs to be changed in order to prevent the key from manually opening the door (and starting the engine).
you might need to reprogram the immobilizer chip to complete the change. though this is probably the most expensive part.
