problem with RADIO ""enter Code""
#21
Since this comes up every so often here is how to get the radio code for a Honda without contacting a Honda dealer and supposing your car does not have a sticker in the glove box. My 2009 Sport does not.
1. Turn the key On and turn the radio ON.
2. Press buttons 1 and 6 at the same time.
3. The radio display will show a series of numbers, usually two alternating displays of 4 numbers and maybe a letter or two. Write down the just the numbers, the letters don't mean anything at this point. They will total 8 digits. Write this down - it is the 8 digit serial number of the device. Turn car OFF.
4. Go to Honda Navicode on the internet. The USA site is https://radio-navicode.honda.com/
5. Following directions on Navicode enter the car's VIN and serial number you just wrote down. At the time of this posting Honda also asks for a phone number and an email address. Submit and the radio code pops up.
6. Go back to the car and turn the key ON and radio ON. Enter the 5 digit radio code using the buttons.
