Door Power Locks Gone Weired
Dear Members.
Hi, Joined today and need to fill in my profile.
But for now, i drive a 2003 Jazz and the weirdest thing started to happen today, I was driving home and for some strange reason the door locks (central locking) started unlocking and then relocking themselves. This went on for the whole ten mile journey.
I stopped a couple of times and turned the engine off and nothing happened, but as soon as i fired up, all four doors locked then unlocked as before and continued at erratic intervals.
It's a new one on me and has left me baffled.
Can anyone relate to this.
Regards.
Mike.

Sounds exactly like what goes on in USDM GD3s that get water into the master window switch. This link http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/do...0V033-7786.pdf will give you full procedures / pictures for the US recall. The pics show you what to look for in terms of board damage, I imagine your board will be similar
To summarize the repair: Dismount master switch. Remove board to inspect. If any water damage, replace entire switch assembly. Seal over all cracks in switch case to prevent issue recurring.
Just something to check out.
