Fixing a small dent, any good body shops in so cal?
Hi guys, I know this is a DIY section but does anyone know any good but cheap body shops in socal area?
One day my car was parked in the garage with the hatch open(putting groceries in the garage fridge). When suddenly the garage closed by itself, its one of those wooden folding garages, not the metal roll up ones. So the part that hit my hatch was one of the wooden beam/supports on the backside of the garage door, so It made a small dent in the very outer edge/lip of the hatch. Just moved into this house not so long ago, and I have since changed the door to a roll up metal door. The install guy said the last owners of the house, had the wiring all screwed up and thats why it closed by itself. The dent is a little smaller than a lighter. I mean its not a big deal, doesnt effect the car at all but its just ugly to look at. Makes me mad too because it was not my fault. This happened mid last year, but I recently had my car washed. And now thats its all shiny, I can see the weird distorted reflections around the dent area. sucks! Thanks in advance! =]
Also I'm sure it would help if I had some pictures, I'll see if I can post some later.

Just my 2 Cents Worth
In any service Good and Cheap and like Oil and Water they just don't mix. The one problem with our Fits are the gauge of the metal, very thin. and when you work a thin metal you can windup chasing the dent. On the other hand thin is good if it's a simple dent, you can find a Painless Dent Repair Co. that will remove the dent without the typical bodyshop procedures and the paint will still match which is hard to do with a respray.

Can't picture where your "injury" is, but you may want to check with a Paintless Dent Repair facility to see if they can fix it.
It's a LOT cheaper when you don't need any painting, and there are PDR guys who are real artisans.

The dent is at the very edge/lip of the hatch. You know that handle at the bottom of the hatch that you can grab, to close it. The dent is right there. But unfortunately it did crack the paint. I used touch up paint on it to prevent rust for the time being =/. I will check around =]
