Replacement wipers

We got 2 feet of snow on Saturday and I managed to break the drivers side wiper. Rather than wait for a factory replacement, I walked to wallymart and got one of the new model Michelin wipers. I was impressed. 2/3 the price of the cheapest internet honda replacement, great fit, and appears to be well made. I don't know how it performs yet as my cars are all snow-locked in the driveway because VDOT won't get around to clearing our roads for another 2-3 days. I don't know when Michelin started selling these, anyone have any experience?

It appears to be alll one piece, fairly heavy duty, and is precurved to ensure constant pressure across the wiper blade. I don't know if the rubber piece can be replaced or if I have to replace the whole thing when it goes.

Maybe. The 'frame' is a droopy, curved solid piece, not a multi-hinged set of metal pieces. The blade is a separate piece but it doesn't look like it's replaceable.

Evidently they're running a rebate on these if you buy them from walmart http://www.michelinwiper.com/docs/27...rt_Rebate3.pdf .

The only frameless wipers i have experience with are the bosch icons. They werent any better then a pair of regular blades IMO and definitely didnt last any longer. Certainly, not worth the $20+ each that i see them charge at the parts stores.

Yep, that droopy boomerang shape's what I was referring to by "frameless"

People seem to get varying results from these frameless blades so I've held out from buying them. They're also kind of pricey here...

Try the salvage yards first. The dealer is going to cost a lot more money. Since these parts are copyrighted by the manufacturer, this is your best option. car-part.com is a good place to look for these.
