Ah gotcha. Well I was referring to hand polishing as applying a polish by hand. Which is what happened in the picture.

Didn't want people to think that applying wax by hand is what I consider "hand polishing" and that this might happen to their car. Applying wax by hand won't cause this no matter what. But when trying to apply and remove an abrasive polish used to remove defects or swirls by hand is a bad idea if you don't know what your doing.

You Gotta know, lol, I'm from South Carolina. No pun to other South Carolinians. I speak country and I like to use one word for many things.
