cheapest air filter?

Where can I get the cheapest OEM 08 fit air (not cabin) filter? I tried college hills and bernardi but, with shipping, it works out to more than I'd pay full retail at my Honda dealership.

Not sure how much shipping is, but here's one for $17.02. #11

Honda Automotive Parts

Why not just get a K&N?

Thanks for the attempt but that place wanted shipping AND handling totaling $14

I pretty much stick with Honda OEM parts so if/when Honda tries to deny ANY warranty claim I can show them a receipt for a HONDA part. I want NO warranty coverage issues whatsoever!

Have you tried printing out the price lists from your favorite discount Honda vendors, and asking your local dealer to match them? (Without the shipping of course)

That's what I do, and while the local guys won't totally match the discount price, they will often give you 15% - 20% off. Gotta pay tax here in NJ tho'.

It is rarely cost effective to buy ONE part and have it shipped. I make a list of desired items and order a quantity/variety all at once. (After all, we have three Honda products in our current fleet.)

Another tactic to try is to order several items, but CALL IT IN so you can talk to the parts clerk and get a break on the shipping.

In case you didn't notice, I am CHEAP. But I always use OE Honda parts!

All excellent ideas. I've placed large orders with College Hills in the past and called it in and got a shipping discount. Unfortunately I'm pretty stocked up on most of my Honda supplies. I am going to try getting my dealer to price match. Plus it would be nice to build rapport with the parts guy. I appreciate the suggestions! REP +1
