DIY water/oil temp guage install?

Ok, so i wanna know how to install either of these two gauges in my fit, because i have had bad luck in the past with overheating in other cars and it boggles me that they didn't put one in the fit. so anyone have any first hand knowledge as to how to do it because I've never done it before, thanks for any info you bring to the table!

You can either get an adaptor that you place in between a radiator hose with the proper thread size/pitch for a sender unit of an aftermarket gauge or the easy way would be a scan gauge. Don't know how accurate the latter is

Don't know about oil temp. but the easy way for water temp. like moegenki said is to get a Scanguage. ScanGaugeII - Trip Computers + Digital Gauges + Scan Tool . Just plug it in to your OBD connection, mount if and you're ready to go.

funny thing about the fit is that it keeps the temp readings to itself... it's kinda next to impossible to overheat the engine if you maintain your vehicle properly.

That is why the gauges for temp aren't on the car, there just isn't a need for them. Scanguage is your best bet. Your next best bet would be to use a laptop with the serial port to the OBDII scan port where your have your gas/brake pedals, and have the readouts...

I'm still working on that piece of software for my laptop, and will most likely be releasing it sometime in the next 3~6 months.
