Axles are taking a S**T

I now have 65k miles and I have started to notice some odd play in the front suspension under load in turns at high speed. I am not sure if this has to do with the axles yet, but as I inspected the front lower suspension I noticed a ring of axle grease spun all around in the fender well. Its not just on one side but both.

I have done some racing with it at a local SCCA event, but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I have lowering springs(installing T1R Bmaxs when I saw this) and RCAs.

The drivers side seems to have a hole in the middle of boot thats against the tranny thats loosing the grease on that side and the pass. side, it seems like its coming off the end boot right near the hub where the band clamp holds it on. It actually looks like the band clamp is tearing into the side of the boot.

I am also wondering if there is a putty, sealent, or silicone that could seal it enough before they dry out completly or is it too late.

Does anyone even make new ones?

sounds like you tore some cv boots open, any clicking, knocking sounds while turning, along with seeing grease on the inner fenders/wheels, is usually the cv joints going

AXLE

Sounds like you are writing about the toilet habits of some German guys. Then again, you have a lot of German guys named Axel in Milwaukee.

You could always order the boot from Honda, just slip on a new boot.

they dont just slip on, you need to remove the end of the axle from the spindle, knock off the kunckle (w/o damaging it), and repack the joint, before reassembly

I figured they wouldnt just slip on... Its a lot cheaper than a full axle.
I myself just change the whole axle though. Its quicker and easier IMO.

Yeah I am probably gonna run these till the dry up, but I don't think there are any aftermarket axles available, so a genuine honda part might be the only fix.

yeah, a lot of people replace the whole axle, because it is sometimes cheaper to throw in an aftermarked axle, than to buy the oem boot kit.
