yeh, sounds like you got some moderate levels of swirls.
Hydro hides swirls real well, even on a black car. my other dd is a
black legacy and it hasnt been polished for 2yrs now...still looks
pretty good. i can see the swirls out in the sun, but it's minimal.

swirls are caused by washing, drying, and wiping using inferior
products and bad techniques.
my G35C that was polished last year did not need any polishing this
year. no swirls i could see under 500w halogen or sunlight. any time
you drag a towel or duster you risk putting in new swirls.
use ample shampoo to lubricate your wash mitt (never use a sponge)
during your wash, always use gritguard/dirt guard in your bucket, blot
dry using a MF waffle weave towel. that a lone will prevent most swirls.
now if you can accept a little swirlage for the convenience of
waxing while drying, i recommend Hydro. i doubt there is such a
thing as a 100% swirl free dd.
as far as removing wax, use high quality MF towels dedicated for
wax/polish removal/QD, like DP's platinum MF towels.
you can get these high quality stuff at that Detailers Paradise i
mentioned ealier.... griots has good stuff too, but as far as towels,
DP has higher quality.
