maintaining carbon fibre accessories

how do u keep em clean and maintain its glossiness? is it the same as maintaining normal paint, e.g. bird poop and dead bugs. i havent tried yet cos i dont wanna risk anything, dats why i wanna know from those who have experience out there.

i believe most carbon fiber products are protected by a clear coat and UV coating from the manufacturer. all that is needed to keep the original luster is the same maintenance you would show the rest of your car. washing, polishing, and waxing when you do the rest of your car is all my friends and i do to our carbon fiber accessories.

yep, revs nailed it. just take care of your CF pieces as rest of the paint.
