I dont have pictures but I just got done recovering my door panels the removal is very simple. I have an '08 GD3 so I do not know if the panels on the GE would be different, I assume so.
1. There are 3 little clips on the bottom of the armrest. I used a slot headed screw driver and gave them a hard push in. They appear very hard to break.
2. pull the armrest off. There are pins at the back of the armrest so you may have to pull that side off first, it helped me.
3. You will find 3 silver screws behind the cover, Phillips. Unscrew them.
4. Unscrew the Phillips screw on the handle.
5. Unclip the wire for the window control. Push in the little clip and pull down on it.
6. Using the slot headed screw driver "pop" off the panel there are about 8-10 clips that just pop out. By this point the panel should be just hanging on the door at the top by the window guide. The window guide is attached to the panel, not the actual door.
7. Lift the panel up over the door lock and you are done.

When doing this on the front doors you will need to unplug the tweeter before lifting the panel completely off. The wire does not have that much slack so it helps to look through the window from the outside while removing it so that you can see what you're doing better.

It's really really simple to do just follow that and you'll be ok.

Excellent bunch of tips! Sorry for reviving this up I just have the same status and I want to clear everything. I did unplug the power stove and removed the door panel but as I assembled it, the battery powered the headlamp automatically. What might be the problem in this?
