Shark fin antenna?

Hi all,
Hey, anyone have any experience with this shark fin antenna for your Fit? Seems like a really good price. Any recommendations? Thanks! Thank you. Oh, and these are glued on. Anything about taking it off the car if it goes bad???

Ended up getting one off Ebay for $10.99. It was advertised as for a Honda Fit and it was already "white" and I was hoping the color match was going to be "good enough" but it was way off so I painted it and top coated it. Will look good. (Got the "Tafeta white to match my color from Rock Auto----spray can) I did check the reception, compared to my original antenna and it was no better or no worse. Hope it lasts because I don't know how easy it's going to be to get it off my roof, if it goes bad.

I went with a beatsonic fda4s. I was shocked that the color was spot on, to the oem silver.

funny enough, I ended up buying a 2nd one, black.... to match my now blacked out roof (vinyl wrap)

It makes me wonder if the expensive ones are worth the money? Won't know until mine dies. :-) I've seen them on the Web now for only $2! Even though I had to paint mine, I lucked out because I already had the paint and clear coat topcoat. Hope it lasts.

I bought mine off Amazon as well - the glue/tape that it came with did not hold up after one hot summer. On a FF-member's suggestion, I used 3M double-sided tape and it is solid now.

Thanks for that advice. I will watch for that in the summer and if it looks like it's going to give way, I'll use your suggestion.

Well, after painting and topcoating, the finish isn't nearly as nice as when I painted and topcoated the lower front bumper cover and side running board which both turned out really nice. They are all "plastic" I guess but seem to be a different kind of plastic. The shark fin antenna was extremely smooth and I did rough it up with a scouring pad before painting but I did notice that when applying the white paint, it didn't cover as evenly, actually kind of "splotchy". In retrospect, I should have probably undercoated the fin first, then followed up with the white paint, then topcoat? Live and learn. Still, not doing it over. It's "okay" and I can live with it.

Very cheap price. Is this OK to replace the original 2011 antenna ?

Got my sharkfin antenna awhile back but the paint started peeling off the last year or so. Something to consider...

I picked up a Visual Garage sharkfin the week I got my '13 Fit, and it has kept its color and stickiness without any problems, definitely recommend (if they're still in business)
