Gas mileage
First tank from the dealer, stop and go driving to work, mostly highway coming back, got 30.1 mpg. Today put in 7.951 gal after another 232.8 mi from last fillup -- worked out to 31 mpg. This time it was mixed use, but about 75% busy highway driving with stops for tolls, exit ramps, lights, etc. Not much chance to use the cruise control, speeds anywhere from 55-75. Have a Sport with AT.

I got 31 mpg so far, Fit Sport AT, about 75% crowded highway, rest stop & go, with a/c blasting in 90 degree heat. I expect to do better after initial break-in, and of course even better when I don't have to continually run the a/c.

I got 29mpg on my first "measured" tankful. All city driving with lots of hills. I'm avoiding the freeway until the break in is done.
I've also decided to drive only with the paddle shifters in "S" mode for the next tankful. On all these hills, the AT in "D" seems to hunt for the right gear quite a bit, and I think it's wasting fuel doing it.

Auto trans. First tank averaged 42 MPG mixed driving..but that's worked out on a specialized fuel mileage slide rule I have using Imperial gallons, litres of fuel and kilometres. I think that would put it about 35-36 MPG for a US gallon. Not bad for a new motor. Too bad we use metric in Canada, think in MPG but don't use the same gallon as the US. It's all to confuse us ! But it beats the litres per 100 kilometres usage they post on the new cars here !

33.5 mpg on first tank, 60/40 hwy/cty, as high as 75 mph hwy.
The break in doesnt state not going over 55 mph, as with most if not all new cars now. I've had 6 different cars (all new) in 2 years including the 2 i have now that doesn't require it for break-in. Just don't beat your car, that's all.

Sport Mode Only Experiment
After 118 miles of driving in Sport Mode using only the paddle shifters, my mpg dropped to 25.9 ...all "city" driving, i.e. no freeway, but not exactly stop & go either.
I'll try a "D" only tankful next.

I just filled my tank up for the first time. ($2.89 a gallon - ) I'm getting 28mpg. I have a Base, automatic and all my driving this week has been all short distance, city driving. I just broke the 200 mile mark on my way home from work. I plan to take my car out on the highway this weekend. We'll see what my gas mileage is after that.

5 speed Sport
First tank (though I don't know the dealer filled it): 26.49 mpg
2nd tank (I KNOW I filled it!): 28.89 mpg
3rd tank...filled today on the way home: 31.9 mpg
Things are getting better, though today I filled with 1/4 tank left. It'll be interested to see how it does once it is totally broken in.
I will also mention I am no featherfoot, and about 1/3 of my driving is city with the other 2/3rds being 80 to 85 mph on the highway.

My first tank on the sports auto from dealer got me 281 miles til the gas light lit up, was mixed driving. A bit more highway than city, driving style was normal nothing too harsh. Highest I've gone was 80, accidental.. didnt realize I was going 80 because the car's too quiet compared to my previous, and just basicly didn't feel it.
