I'm bringing my boyfriend with me!! he eats a lot

usually I'd bake cookies for a Fit meet but I don't think I'll have time :/ I'll figure out something to bring once I'm in the area!

Big thank you to all who made it out today. With the West bound Bay Bridge being closed this weekend, we thought the San Mateo Bridge (92) would be crowded but surprisingly it was congestion free all the way up to SF.

The weather was amazing (aside from a bit of a breeze) and found a sweet spot at Crissy Field for our BBQ and photo op. Special thanks to mvshutter for the individual photo sessions of each fit. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished work.

There was an amazing show of patience for those of you who actually stood in line for hours to make it into the Wekfest car show! Hope you all had fun and please post your pix / videos...

While standing in line for Wekfest, there was a discussion about getting a caravan together in the Bay Area and head down to So. Cal for the annual Fit Meet coming up sometime this Spring. I will be in touch with Pandahh who was visiting from So. Cal with her b/f for the details. Once the date and location is confirmed, I will create a new thread so keep your ears and eyes open.

Thanks for setting up this get-together. At the end of the day I was exhausted and my legs and feet are beat. Great seeing you all, and look forward to meeting again in the soon future. I didn't take too many pictures, but I'm sure others will be able to share.

The wait was long, but I think it'd be best to go late in the day. Was thinking to myself when all was over...could have took a drive and then go to the show. Anyway, too bad security were being pricks.

 

I am back in SoCal! Really enjoyed meeting all you bay area fits too bad I didn't get to say goodbye though... went back to my fit near the end of the show and I planned on waiting there until the other fitfreaks came out to their cars but everyone was already gone

 

it was a great trip though, had so much fun! hope to see some of you in the spring for the grand socal fitfreak bbq! I talked to the organizer, he will probably have it in may. I'll keep you updated!

 

Had an awesome time! Already looking forward to the meet in Socal and the Mt. Diablo drive! I wasn't too impressed with the photos I shot though. It's really hard to shoot in direct sunlight like we had. I'll be posting some of them over tonight and tomorrow.

Hey all, hope you had as much fun as I did! Just a few shots below and the link to my album from the day:

I took the tail of the caravan on the way over to SF, and had some fun trying to keep up!

Despite the Bay bridge being closed we made great time! As usual other Fits on the road looked confused, but this guy even tagged along at the back for a few exits



The weather was GORGEOUS, and we could not have asked for a better venue to park and BBQ. We could see the Golden Gate, the palace of Fine Arts AND Alcatraz!



While mvshutter setup his gear and got some gorgeous shots of our fits against the SF backdrop, konig_feather fired up the grill and the rest of us wondered around checking out each others rides especially Pandahh's BRIGHTLY accented GE8

After everyone's ride got a spot in mvshutter's "studio" and we had thoroughly snacked on all the various eats, we took a stroll on down to get in line for the actual car show. Wandering through the parking lot was like a pre show in itself though! The line was FOREVER, and after nearly 4 hours, freezing winds, and a debacle with security which cost us konig_feather's company we Finally made it inside. We even found a couple of Fits :

Wow! nice pix guys... Although I didn't make into the car show, I really enjoyed spending time with everyone. Look forward to the warmer weather and more meets! Definitely more BBQs. Will be nice to see lil kirie and annievil's Fits join next time.
