Hey everyone!! I'm repping ECHM on here even though I own an 8th gen Si and not a Fit.
Just wanted to make sure everyone knew about the the date and location change. The original venue declared bankruptcy and had to liquidate everything. The East Coast Honda Meet is now on June 30th at Richmond International Raceway. (Right across the street from where the meet had been held the past 4 years.)
ALSO!!! We are looking for VIP cars! The deadline is tomorrow (3/31) for applications to be submitted. All you have to do is send an email with your name, 4 pictures, and a short write up of info to info@eastcoasthondameet.com ASAP

I know it's late notice. But if anyone has anything they've been working on, show Ricky and Marcus! VIP section is for the monster engines, the track whores who might not look all that pretty on the outside, or the cars that def took the form > function seriously.
If you (or you have a friend) who fits anything like this description, send the email application in to info@eastcoasthondameet.com!!

If you want to be in the VIP section, you have to apply and pay a fee. If not, then just show up and park in the designated open spots (non vip). If we get a fit section going, then we probably should keep it outside the VIP section. Just a thought. SPICY SI correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks!

This year, the VIP section is a separate parking area for only about 200 cars. You must apply and be selected by ECHM admins/staff. Once selected, a fee of $40 is asked to be paid. The $40 goes toward everything that is included in the whole meet as well as the goodies for those selected for VIP area. Goodies this year are things like stickers, exclusive VIP ECHM tshirt, other give aways from vendors, and special raffles. VIP parking is pretty much general admission for those selected and once inside of the VIP area, you can park where you want. (At least this is the plan so far.) It is in the main area of all the happenings for the meet and next to all the vendors. This area is also where almost all of the magazine coverage will take place.
If you want to keep everyone parked together, stick with the regular parking. It's still free and you don't have to worry about everyone being selected. But if you think a car is worthy of VIP, might be worth splitting from the group. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY FITS APPLY FOR VIP!!! I'd loooooove to see a good showing of all models.
It's worth it. Besides, I know Fit owners usually roll deep!

Thanks spicy si for helping us coordinate this. So if we all just show up at different times will we be able to park together in a "section" or should we meet somewhere before and all roll in together so that we can park together?

I'd recommend a premeet and arriving together. (A lot of the 8th gen guy/girls are grabbing a hotel Fri and Sat nights with a discounted rate near the previous location. Country Inn & Suites in Doswell, VA since it's still not far from Richmond... and we're still planning on a day at Kings Dominion Sunday.)
However, Ricky said just now "I'll approve them if they get a good number sending in VIP apps before the deadline..... as long as they aren't just all stock."
Just a thought!
