I just picked my Sport AT w/ paddle shifters and managed to get away with just over $23K with the all weather mats, locking wheel nuts, lifetime oil changes, freight/PDI, taxes, and block heater. I also managed to negotiate to include the mud guards, but when I went to pick it up they said that the mud guards don't fit onto the sport body because of the skirting.

Just have to shop around and get them fighting for your business. If you manage to land a hungry salesman or one trying to meet some kind of quota for sales you just might get lucky.... With the final price of the car that is.

Sounds like an Alberta deal, seems a bit extreme for any province with a 13-15% sales tax rate.

I could see it happening with just GST

Yeah it's an Alberta deal. What can I say, having no PST ROCKS!!!!!!!!

But still....Shop around and get the so-called rock-bottom price including everything (be sure to specify that you want EVERYTHING included in the final price they give you). Once you have a baseline, then take the lowest price go back to all other dealers and ask them to beat it. If they won't beat it, ask them to match it and then talk accessories to be thrown in. Most salesmen won't deal too much with the price (especially on a new car like the Fit) because it cuts into their commission, but they seem to be much more open to adding little trinkets on to make you think you're getting a better deal with them.

I found that dealing over the phone was way more effective. That way you're not on their turf and you're not playing their game. Be blunt and to the point about what you want.

I gambled a little in that I negotiated my deal over the phone before the Fit was even released in Canada. All I had ever known of the Fit when I was bargaining was what I had read of it on the web.

Hope this helps a little.

I got 400$ off MSRP for a Sport MT. But this dealer was sold out, and I have to wait a few months (I'll end up getting exactly when I wanted it). I'll be getting my Honda accessories from a buddy that works in the parts department. I can get a hole lot more stuff for the same amount of money that way.

I paid $20,900 before taxes...with taxes it came out to $22,400 or something like that. I was suprised how fast I got my Fit, I went into the showroom two weeks ago and I picked it up last week Tuesday.
