$1000 Rebate Application

So yeah, I still need to fill in my application and I'm having a bit of trouble. I believe I need to send in a copy of the lease agreement and also the application form that I just filled out.

How can I make a copy of my lease agreement or should I just head over to the dealership I got my car from and ask for help?

Oh really. My lease agreement is pretty long and big, so do I just make a photocopy at Staples or something?

Also, dont forget your provincial registration papers.

My dealership made a copy of my sales statement. Then I made a copy of my registration.

i don't really remember when i sent it in, don't think it was last year so probably some time in january

you get a confirmation letter first, i think i got that back in feb

application is pretty straight forward, just copy stuff found the agreement that you signed given by the dealer

and i think a photocopy of registration

http://www.tc.gc.ca/programs/environ...coautoform.pdf

thats the form

for the Fit its listed as an eligible model for 2008 (manual transmission only)

i think Honda had a factory rebate for the 2007s since i remember they said the Fit didn't make it to the list

EDIT: I remember seeing a telephone number for checking on your application, might've been on the pdf or somewhere on the website

Eligible Vehicles - ecoAUTO - Transport Canada

i wouldn't wait for it too much since its from the government
i think overall it took almost 5 months, now that i looked at the date the list for 08's went online for the website, i did it relatively close to when the list was released for 08's which was sometime in dec 07 according to the website

i didn't expect it to come in till late summer so it seemed to come faster than expected

Right on...I should get mine in June or July then. I sent mine away in March. Also, I still dont really understand what Honda did to make the '08 manuals qualify for the rebate.

i always think autos aren't as good in MPG compared to their manual counterparts, might be a misconception, dunno

think the fit auto only missed it by a little, the civic gets the same 1000 rebate too... i still like the fit more (the seats are awesome + its fun to drive) but its kinda lame how the civic puts more power and still managed to make it for the rebate

You get the registration at the DMV. I just received a letter from the EcoAuto program saying it received my information. They said they need to verify everything now....so hopefully I will be a $1000 richer in the next month or 2. Actually, its going on the loan. haha.

I just sent in copies of the sales/lease agreement and the registration.
