Fit MPG in Socal Traffic?

Socal Fit owners please chime in...

Planning to buy Fit as daily driver... Good gas mileage will be one of
the main factor for me to buy one.

What kind of MPG are you guys getting especially in LA's stop-and-go
traffic?

Thanks,

well ive had 2 Fits....one a Sport Auto, and now a Sport Manual...

Auto got me about 32-34 daily (i drive 80+ miles per day on the 57 and 5 freeways....i dont consider those highway miles with all that stop and go)

Manual is still new (under 1k miles) and im getting 33-35.

i get anywhere from 28-32 on average, if i'm not really being mindful of mileage, like if i take the sepulveda pass down into the san fernando valley

i drive daily up and down the 405 about 20 miles, and it takes me about one hour, so how's that for stop and go?

20-25 mpg would mean there's a lot of action in the 5-6000 rpm range, lol, that plus hauling 3 or 4 people around

I was getting 24 MPG when I worked in downtown Vancouver.
6 mile commute, 21 traffic lights/stop signs.
NEVER revved past 2700 rpm, one passenger, no cargo.

I've been getting about 28.5 MPG for every tank so far. wish I got more, but it's not bad. It may still be in the "break in period". I have 5,000 on mines

I highly doubt its due to the break-in. I got 30MPG on my first fill and have been ever since.. I'm at 6200 miles.

I don't know what else it could be cause no matter what I do, either driving 65 mph or 80 mph, I always seem to get less then 30 MPG. what do you think it is?

I've been averaging 28-29mpg ever since I got my car, all city driving. Only once I got 1 bad mpg and just this past weekend we went to Mexico for a mission trip and it was half tank when we got to our destination (Rancho Santa Clara 212mi). This was with 4 ppl in the car and trunk full of lugages, sleeping bags & A/C

Wished I took a picture of my car full of passangers & lugage, my car is soooo dirty

Maybe bc of all the mods you've done to your car?
Falken Azenis also have significantly more grip than stockers...

well I was averaging about 28.5 MPG when I was stock, and I noticed that i'm now averaging about 27 MPG. I know that Azenies are more sticky then sock tires, but my Volks only weigh in at 10 lbs each. so I don't know???

I can't seem to break 27mpg in mixed traffic. Mostly stop and go driving. Highest I think I got was 29. I'm a little quick on the throttle too. Have yet to know what it will do on the highway. Look hard because I think there a lot of people on this forum that have had mixed results with mpg.

My best mileage was about 34-35 mpg, my worst was 23 mpg, hahaha. Getting an intake just makes you want to step on it more, so it's hard to get good mileage, it takes discipline. My average mileage is closer to 26-27 through 2 hours of daily stop-go traffic, but I do like to step on it when I can break free, so again... it all depends on your right foot, but the Fit CAN do over 30 mpg in the right conditions, my trips between SD and LA usually see me with about 32 MPG.

One month with my "Preowned" 6,000 mile sport...commuting 22 miles on 5 freeway at 80+ cruising (except mornings then 25ish mph from Culver north... ) and I've been getting 29-30 mpg... Better than my 180K Saturn SL2 with 22mpg.......
