Product testing for MTEC Industries.
Hey all. My name is Mike and I'm the owner of MTEC Industries. We are currently looking for a few testers for our shifter springs for the Honda Fit. They can be used in all years and with any kind of short shifter or OEM. There will be 2 versions of the springs. One will be race and one will be sport. Our products are designed to eliminate play and give a more precise shift for manual transmission Fit owners. Please let me know if anyone is interested in testing. Requirements are that you must have a manual transmission Honda Fit. Any year is fine. Thanks in advance!

It's not about having problems shifting. I researched off of a 2008 Honda Fit and the shifter was very loose. Alot of play in it. My product for the fit will help eliminate that.

Where exactly does this mount on the shifter? How does it eliminate play?
Did the 2008 you drove have like 150k miles on it? I ask because I don't really see any need for any tightening of the shifter on mine (release between 1-2 and 5-R and it will snap right back to the middle with no push), but i've only had it a year and 20k miles.

If I had gripes with my shifter feel, I'd jump on this test opportunity in an instant.

Vehicle was a 2008 and had about 50K on it. Once you have our products then you'll understand. We have a good following in the k20/k24 crowd. Here is a link to one of our customers review.

After reading a little, I would probably consider this if I had an extended shifter with a weighted knob, but I don't see the point for a stock shifter with a light aftermarket knob I have.
It returns pretty fast stock and I don't like the effort it takes to go to 5th on this car as it is.
Maybe go with the "sport springs" when my car has 100k on it, see ya then

Not sure what hard mounts are but wait until we get a final product. All manual transmission fit owners will be happy!
