CA set to ban plastic bags from grocery stores

Law just passed the state assembly and is going to the senate. Arnold loves the law.

.05 charge per paper bag or bring your own.

Our apartment complex has doggie bag stations with little baggies and a trash bin for the poo. There's like 5 throughout the whole complex.

Same here. The refuse still has to go into some bag. Now, I'll have to buy some plastic bags so I can throw them away. Doesn't seem like this will change anything... will just cost more money.

the ban is not only to reduce the plastic but to have places start using corn/ vegetable base plastic rather then crude oil base plastic....because the plastic use by most market are crude oil base and yes we use them for our trash can but it when the trash man take the plastic and fill out landfill....crude oil base plastic take about 500 years to completely break down......
