Sounds like a scam, but then he mentions he only wants to deal with the buyer face to face...strange.

could be legit... i have a friend that won a car in Vegas once on a slot machine and he didnt want it either. instead of taking delivery he tried to negotiate with the participating dealer to "trade in" the car back to them and they would only give him a little less than invoice.

he ended up having the car transported back to LA and sold private party for more than what the dealer offered
