sound problem...

just wondering if any of you guys know what the problem is... so i have pioneer tsa speakers, amp/sub, and a kenwood headunit. Ive been starting to have this problem lately, i would bump my music preety loud where my mirriors are shaking and after an hour or so, my speakers begin to get static and blurred out, but the sub and amp still bumps the same, its just the high end from the speaker doesnt sound clear anymore. And if i turn off the car and not use the speakers for about 15mins, the sound comes back on normal. Is this because i should get an amp for my speakers? or is it because the speakers are dying?

Kenwoods, unfortunately, do not like to send out large amount of internal amp juice for a long period of time. I'm not saying their headunits are bad, (HELL no i'm not I got a kenwood in my car and my green civic and i LOVE them!!), I'm just saying their internal amps are not as strong as you would like it.

I've had the same issue with my dnx-6140 internal amp. After constant bumping, the speakers get really distorted and i'd have to let the internal amp cool down by powering it down.

Two fixes:
1) bump just a little lower. That's what i did and now i don't have that issue anymore.
2) Amplifier for the speakers. That way there is no load on the internal amp of the headunit, plus u can get it louder at lower volumes.

Mono amps are one channel and generally use for sub. Get 2 or 4 channels if you're using it for your door speakers.

Save up and get a nice 4-channel amp. I'd recommend getting one that is thin as in height wise. That way, you can mount it under your back seats or under the front seats or even if it's small enough, in the spare tire well.

As for mono, that's for subs and it's only one channel, subwoofer only. It sounds like you have an amp and sub combo already so u don't need a new amp for the sub, just one for the speakers.

If u want a great selection, i'd HIGHLY recommend soniceletronics.com if you don't already. there the BEST at everything, price, helpfulness, and customer service.

what the hell?? how hard are you bumping here man? Try setting the Fader to full front, i dont even use rear speakers. The sound is more focused and clean, try it and see if you are okay with it, that'll be ALOT less power your HU loses and then you wont have to get an amp. My amp is 4 ch but i only use frontss
