RIP Jaime Escalante. Stand and Deliver. GANAS

Jaime Escalante, the motivational teacher whose story was dramatized in the 1988 film Stand and Deliver, passed away yesterday. He was 79 and finally succumbed to cancer which he has been battling most of his life.
