That's what it should have been in the first place. Of course people seem to have problems with CARING FOR THEIR FELLOW MAN.

I tried to stay up and I did until the vote but then couldn't stay up after. The best thing I read online was that the news is finally reporting "What Health Care Reform means to you".

Funny how that wasn't reported at ANYTIME before the bill passed.

LOL Rush Limbaugh is backtracking saying he would only goto Costa Rica for his Health Care.

WTF?!? Costa Rica has a more socialized health care system than what was passed here!

Considering how watered down this bill is, I hope the mandate gets repealed and removed at some point in the future. This bill is 90% health insurance industry sponsored - the problem was that Obama/Democrats compromised from the start instead of coming up with something truly outstanding and working from there. This is practically a republican bill without the support of republicans (mostly cause they're a bunch of whiny cunts). Historic, but needs ALOT of work.

It's a first step that needed to be taken though. The way I look at it is that this was better than sitting around and doing nothing.

The best counterpoint to that argument:

If health care for everyone is socialism then we should privatize the police and army. Someone is breaking into my house! Thank you for calling 911 sir, please provide your credit card and a unit will be out immediately. If you cannot afford our services then I suggest you purchase a gun. If you cannot afford a gun, then it was nice knowing you.

Read this again. It doesn't make a lot of sense. Something can happen to cars and things. Are you saying things can't happen to a persons physical self?

I'm saying for people health care should be a right. You shouldn't need health insurance to be treated. It should be the collective responsibility of everyone to take care of each other as humans.

I sent a package through the mail today. McCarthy is probably going to claw his way out of his grave and call me a communist/socialist.

It's crazy, the Tea Party(Tea Baggers) and the GOP are teaming up with Sarah Palin to TARGET the people that voted in favor of HCR:

This seems really really WRONG.

She is borderline inciting violence. There were signs that the Tea Party protesters held that said something along the lines "If we can't stop HCR then my GUN can."

What's retarded about the bill?

1. No more discriminating against people with pre-existing conditions. Someone with asthma and other conditions won't be denied anymore.

2. Parents can cover their children until 26. Perfect for college students who live at home while they go for a Masters.

3. People under the poverty line can get Medicare.

4. Tax increases only if you make 250k/year or more.

I don't see what's bad about HCR.
