Angry for those who want to buy any Honda

this is a very long story

when you go get your Fit at SANTA ANA HONDA of the 55 DON'T TAKE THEIR work for it, what ever they said they can change later, get EVERYTHING in black and white

here is the story: on the Sat when we sign the contract that we told Ali (the internet sale manager/fleet manager?) that we going to pay $2000 down and they will give me a low APR like 6.04%, and he even run after us for the check after we sign the contract but didn't give him the check, he said we need to give him a check because it said we pay $2000 on the contract, but we didn't bring check the other day, cause the other internet manager who sale us the car tells us that we don't have to......then we go back and sign an other contract with another still with the 6.04%, but the down payment wasn't show on the contract
then yesterday when we go pick up the car the Fiance manager tell us that we couldn't get the 6.04% unless we pay like a 90% down with that mach down i could just brought the car already.......Ali blames us that we are playing games with them, he said that we said we going to pay a big down payment, now he is like take that higher interest rate or don't take the car, he said the higer interest rate don't make that much difference, why don't you just take the higher rate but giving me a hard time.......i was like i m not the one who give you a hard time, you are the one who give me a hard time..........even the one who sale us the car Reza said that they make a mistake by telling me i can get a lower rate, but they will do anything about it for us...........i was like why should we take the fall for a mistake you make.............and Ali keep pushing us like just don't buy the car then, he keeping telling us we are playing games with him...........i was so up sad, we didn't do anything wrong we ask him all the detail, if at the beginning he tell us we can't get the low APR i will live with it, but now i trust you on what you said and you turn around to blame every thing on me???????? we stood our ground, we want the car and we will not take the fall for their mistake, after so much arguement and i was so so so upset, he lower the price a little to cover the higher interest rate that we going to pay, but i can't feel that i trust them anymore, with all our accessories not come yet i feel so unsafe.....When you buy cars from them, make them write down everything BLACK AND WHITE so you don't have to go through what i had to

My experience at Honda Santa Ana was a bit better.

I recommend dealing with Damon instead. He's a nice guy, not a very smooth talker, and somewhat slow, but that's why I think he's easier to work with.

I asked him about accessories, and he told me upfront that I should buy the accessories after I get my car, because they are on back order (sorry erinmeow, I didn't tell you this earlier because I only remembered after I read your post).

My interest rates are kind of bad (no previous loans, so got 9.45%), but Damon was at least straight forward with me. My interest rates did not change when signing the contract.

The only thing that I wasn't very pleased with is that while Damon said I could sign the contract first, then pay the down pay when I pick up my car, the finance guy (a young guy that looks to be in his 20s or early 30s) that prepared the contract said I have to pay the down pay before he can give me the contract, because Damon had put $5000 in that field. So yes, it seems like the internet sales people and the finance people have some communication gaps.

But other than that, my buying experience with Damon was pretty nice.

Edit: I should also mention that the wait was kind of long for my taste. I waited 2.5 hours before get to drive the car out.

fot those who want to buy the Fit from Santa Ana, since they do sale the Fit at msrp, make sure u get everything, and i mean EVERYTHING in black and white, don't trust wat they say, if u could ask the finance manager on wat APR you are getting don't take the words from the sales person

Problem with that is that if you purchase options after delivery they only get a 1 year 12k mile warranty. If you purchase them when you purchase the car (they dont have to be installed at the time just purchased) you get a 3year 36k mile warranty and the price is same.

What would go wrong with a floormat or a shiftknob that would be covered by a warranty?
